A Little Help From My Friends!!

August 19th I traveled to Whitehall Wisconsin for a Saturday afternoon race. I drew the last running position of the day and when it came time for me to run, the starter failed.. I was alone at the track and figured my day was over. Within seconds, there were about ten guys working on my car as I sat buckled inside. People running for tools, people running for parts, and all of the guys helping were the same guys I was racing against.
CMA has a 5 minute breakdown rule and I easily sat for 10-15 minutes. They could have stopped my run at anytime but these guys aren't like that.. After getting the engine fired, I pulled up to the track and ran the fastest pass of the day taking the win. I actually felt guilty for winning.
I want to send a big THANK YOU for everyone who helped.. I won't list names because I'll forget someone, but you know who you are... Sportsmanship like that is what CMA is all about!!

From Good To Bad

After running a personal best time last weekend, hopes were high for the double header race August 5th and 6th. Very wet track conditions Saturday in Warrens caused me to lift at 3/4 track after my helmet lens filled with black water totally blocking my view of the track.
It was the only safe thing to do...

Sundays race in Romance promised a much better result as the track looked "Perfect" for the start of open class. Running third in the pit, we decided to try letting the car go to high gear for the first time this year. It shifted just before half track and the car hooked and took a fast right turn into the guard rail. Instant "DQ"...

Oh Well..
Now I know what to expect from third gear..
And we'll be using it for the rest of the year!!!

Win Number 2

For the second time this year, Lethal Injection takes first place at the Lake County fair in Grayslake Illinois. The field was small but we ran a new personal best time of 2.354 seconds.

We'd like to thank all our friends who came out
in the heat to cheer us on at our home track.
