The 2010 season is almost here and in the Southern states racing has started already. PRO BADD has already had one race in Florida with the next show coming up March 13th in Cobbtown, GA.
After that PRO BADD travels to Sanford, NC. to the Lee County Mud Motorsports Complex. The Lethal Injection team is ready for 2010 but do to certain circumstances we may be forced to miss some shows we planned on going to this year. But if there's a way we can make it we will be there..
Seems like the 2009 season just started and here we are finished for the year. I guess that's what happens when you don't start until the end of June and have to miss half the races due to work. All in all things went very good. The car is in the garage for the winter and nothing is broken. After Niellsville we raced at Indianapolis In., Chilton Wi., Linn Mo., and Richland Center Wi. Each time learning a little more about the new motor and what it wanted. Thanks to the Paperboy team for all the help and advice this year. Can't wait for 2010 to do it all again.
After several attempts to make a decent pass we finally got our wish this weekend in Neillsville, Wi. The weather was cold and rainy on race day but the motors loved it. Our first pass set a new Lethal Injection all time best with a time of 2.088 in 150 feet.. Back in the pits Jeff Heck turned a few wrenches, gave me an evil grin, and said "hang on".. Then with a little driving tip from team Paperboy and I was ready for the second run. The car launched extremely hard and I could tell we were on a hard pass. But everything fell apart at half track when the blower belt decided it was finished as I watched it fly over my head. Even with losing power at half track, I still managed a time of 2.336.
Paul Wessinger driving the Paperboy Express set a new all time CMA record with a blistering time of 1.881 and then team mate Scott Snarski backed it up with a 1.885 Congrats to them on a record that will be hard to beat..
Last minute issues came up causing us to cancel our Sturgis trip. But we heard nothing but good things about the event and can't wait until 2010 so we can attend.
We did manage to get a race in with the Central Mudracing Association back on August 2nd in Romance Wisconsin. After our first pass (which the car never got hooked up) we noticed a hole coming Out of the left valve cover. That's never a good sign. We had to wave the second pass due to bent pushrods and a broken lifter. It should be an easy fix and then it's off to Niellsville Wisconsin on August 29th for one of CMAs largest shows of the year. If you're in the area, stop by and see old school Mud Racing at it's finest!!
It's been almost exactly 1 year since we blew the motor in Lethal Injection and we are finally racing again!
For the first outing of the year And the first test run on the new motor, we decided to head to Sanford North Carolina to run with PRO BADD and to check out Lee County Mud Motorsports Complex and the Hill & Hole guys..
They are nuts!!! .. But if you are ever in the area you have to check them out. Owners Darryl and Deborah are great hosts and I can't wait to go back next year. Check them out at http://www.ncmudracing.com/ The car ran "ok" for the first time out.. We had it set a little too safe and the times weren't the greatest. But at least it came home running and in one piece.
For our second race of the year,we headed out to Morrison Illinois over the 4th of July weekend to visit the PeatMonster. This track is notorious for breaking cars with it's hard hooking peat track!.. The weather wasn't the greatest with a steady light rain most of the day. It did stop in time to run the Pro Open class but the track was wet and slippery. Our first pass went straight but the motor was still lacking the power we needed. Crew Chief Jeff decided it was time to quit playing around. With a couple of changes in the fuel delivery system and a new engine timing mark the motor sounded like a whole new beast.
Now came the time to see what the changes would do.. On the second pass the car launched like a rocket and the rear tires started to hop in the ruts from the other cars. It didn't take much to get the front wheels pointed in the wrong direction and before I knew it all I could see was the safety fence coming my way fast. Hitting the brakes on the wet grass seemed to make the car slide even faster. The outcome wasn't very good.. I hit the fence spinning around but the main thing is no one got hurt. The crowd was close by but were far enough away from the debris.
Below is a video provided by the Paperboy Express Racing Team. We would like to extend our thanks to the entire Paperboy Team for all the help they have given us over the past few months helping us to get ready for the 2009 season. Check them out on the web at www.paperboyexpress.net
Gary Baker (founder of the NMRO) has created a new racing organization called PRO_BADD which stands for Professional Racing Organization's Blown Alcohol Dirt Drags. Check out their website at www.probadd.com
The Lethal Injection Team is looking forward to racing with the baddest of the BADD in 2009. Race dates and locations have been posted.
People keep telling me to update this page.. But 2008 didn't bring any good news for the Lethal Injection crew.... Things started out ok in Lena back in the spring.. and got better in Medford.. The car seemed to be on a mission to break parts... Then in Eau Claire in July, things went downhill fast.. The motor just wasn't running right and before we could find the problem it let go..
Earlier this year I had planned on 2008 being the final year for racing. I decided it was time to call it quits.. But now that reality has set in and the season is over, I think I've changed my mind. We're already making plans for a new motor by Spring 2009 and looking forward to it being competitive..
So for now.. Stay tuned I'll post any updates that come along as we make plans for next year.
After a long snowy Winter, the Lethal Injection team is ready to go. The first race of the year will be in Lena Wisconsin this weekend. For more info, check out www.inthemud.com.
We've been to five races now and finally starting to get the new car figured out. After taking a win in Manitowoc Wi., the team went to Warrens Wisconsin and scored the second win in a row. The next day in Romance, we were happy to settle for a second place finsh. We are having some major issues with the front axle though. In five races we've busted 3 axle joints, and the ring & pinion..
Here's a video of my pass in Romance. Click Here to open in your windows media player.
Here's a video of the same pass taken from the other side of the track. Special thanks to "1FineAries" for this footage.
Well... we took the car out to test in a field last weekend and gutted the front axle. After rebuilding it during the week we headed to Peat Monster for the first real race. We got beat but expected it really.. We did get a good baseline to start with so it can only get faster from here. The new car is almost finished. Just a few more minor things to take care of and we will be taking it out for a test run. Still trying to decide what color to make the side panels.....
Here is the new Lethal Injection. We'd like to thank Scott Snarski and Paul Wessinger from the PaperBoy Team and Don Current for getting the car together and putting up with the mess in his garage. Powder Coating was done by The Blast Shop in Kenosha Wi.
The TMRO put on an outstanding show in Murfreesboro Tennessee drawing in racers from 20 States. Paul Wessinger drove Paperboy Express to a first place finish in Class 5 with a time of 1.36
Doug McClung took the win in class 4 with a time of 1.522 and Randy Leino finished first in Class 3 with a best time of 1.78

We'd like to thank the folks at the Miller Coliseum for putting up with the mess mudracers make and hope you allow us all to return next year
Motor Madness showed a video on the The Outdoor Channel of Scott Snarski's violent crash from Lima Ohio last year where he flipped the car 5 times. Scott was able to walk away, but the car wasn't so lucky.

The long Winter offseason just got a little shorter. That's because The Tennessee Mudracing Organization invited us to come race indoors in Murfressboro , TN. on Saturday Feb. 24th. Early indications show this could be one of the biggest indoor mudraces ever. Many BIG names have already entered!!
Rain, wind, and mud couldn't keep the hard core four wheelers away at Indy this year. It was the first time there for the Lethal Injection Team and we can't wait until next year. We made new friends and had a great time. Oh Yeah.. the food was excellent!!!... Thanks Everyone!!!!
Click the logo below to see the pictures we took at Indy
Earlier this year we reported that the Paperboy Express team was finished for the year. We are happy to report that they are back racing and faster than ever!!! They took first place in Morrison Illinois Labor Day Weekend with a time of 2.3 And the Nitrous bottle was empty!!
August 19th I traveled to Whitehall Wisconsin for a Saturday afternoon race. I drew the last running position of the day and when it came time for me to run, the starter failed.. I was alone at the track and figured my day was over. Within seconds, there were about ten guys working on my car as I sat buckled inside. People running for tools, people running for parts, and all of the guys helping were the same guys I was racing against. CMA has a 5 minute breakdown rule and I easily sat for 10-15 minutes. They could have stopped my run at anytime but these guys aren't like that.. After getting the engine fired, I pulled up to the track and ran the fastest pass of the day taking the win. I actually felt guilty for winning. I want to send a big THANK YOU for everyone who helped.. I won't list names because I'll forget someone, but you know who you are... Sportsmanship like that is what CMA is all about!!
After running a personal best time last weekend, hopes were high for the double header race August 5th and 6th. Very wet track conditions Saturday in Warrens caused me to lift at 3/4 track after my helmet lens filled with black water totally blocking my view of the track. It was the only safe thing to do...
Sundays race in Romance promised a much better result as the track looked "Perfect" for the start of open class. Running third in the pit, we decided to try letting the car go to high gear for the first time this year. It shifted just before half track and the car hooked and took a fast right turn into the guard rail. Instant "DQ"...
Oh Well.. Now I know what to expect from third gear.. And we'll be using it for the rest of the year!!!
For the second time this year, Lethal Injection takes first place at the Lake County fair in Grayslake Illinois. The field was small but we ran a new personal best time of 2.354 seconds.
We'd like to thank all our friends who came out in the heat to cheer us on at our home track.
After destroying the front driveshaft in Medford Wisconsin June 24th, the Lethal Injection Team traveled North to Eau Claire July 1st for one of CMAs biggest shows of the summer. We drew an early number and ran a personal best time of 2.49 seconds. After 30 minutes of waiting to see if the time would hold out, Lethal Injection took home first place honors for the night.
We may have spoken a little too early... The PaperBoy Express team has a new car on the welding jig and it is coming together fast. We wouldn't be surprised to see them running again before the end of the season. Good Job Guys!!
We'd like to send this post out to the Paperboy Express team to say you guys will be missed this year. Last Sunday in Lima Ohio, Scott Snarski rolled the car several times destroying it.We are just glad Scott had no serious injuries and hope they get the new car finished this year.
Well, the 2006 season has started and we are ready to go. We are still tuning on the fuel system and so far it's getting better. The real test is this Sunday in Morrison Illinois at PeatMonster.
We'll take the car out Saturday for one last test run.
